People always look for a good place to study. Some people enjoy staying in the library which is a quiet place to study, while some people prefer a noisy place to study because they can manage the background music and chaos. Different people have different choices. My choice of a good place to study is Volcano Tea House which is located in Monterey Park.

First of all, Volcano Tea House provides free internet to customers. There is no time limit for the internet, and it is free and fast-speed. People can use the free internet to get all the information they need. Secondly, they offer delicious food and great tea. It is very convenient for people to get food if they feel hungry. Meanwhile people have a variety of Chinese teas to drink. Finally, it is a quiet and comfortable place. It doesn’t like Starbucks, where people can talk loudly, the tea house is very quiet. The display of the Tea house is quite enjoyable. The furniture has a special character that is can minimize stress if they are using that furniture to study. The main thing is people learn better when they are comfortably relaxed.

People’s learning environment is an important factor to their success. Finding a good study place is the first step to effective studying. That is my suggestion for a good place to study.

Saving Money

The U.S. economy is bad right now. The countries around the word are trying to help the U.S. economy. It is also affecting our homes, our jobs and, our families. We can start helping the economy to being aware of our money. We have some ideas about how to be careful with money.

First of all, we need to find a part time job, such as night time waitress, teacher of our native languages or a website builder to increase some income. We can create things to sell, and we can be our own boss at he same time. For example, selling cookies and accessories are the good choices to make more money. We can decrease the rate of unemployment. Also, while we are making more money we have to spend money carefully, it means do not buy things that you do not need like shoes, clothes, and entertainment. Coupons are thought of as helpers, so if you go to the supermarket, do not forget to bring those coupons in order to save money. Do not get in more debt, by using credit cards. Finally, we should control our population, which means is aware of to being pregnant, because more babies will cost to government and parents more money. In fact, Food, medical and social services for babies are provided by the government.

In conclusion, you must not get in more debts. Do not forget saving money a minimum amount could be a big difference. Try to make more money these tips are the best way to help the U.S economy.

Courier Newspaper Office

We had been interviewed Jeremy Balan who works in the Courier newspaper Office. He said that the office puts the news, pictures, and stories in the newspapers. The newspapers will be published on Wednesdays, and come up on Thursdays. Also, this office had two years history. Before, this office was in the old college center. Because the old college center had a construction, this office moved to this campus. It may move back to the old college center after the construction. For instance, the information from the newspapers came from a bunch of people who investigated, and get the news from the students, policemen, professors, and securities. In conclusion, this is the first time that we go to the Courier Newspaper Office. It is a good opportunity to learn more about Pasadena City College.

Banning Fast Food Restaurants

I don’t agree that the government should ban fast food restaurants. Seventy-three percent of restaurants in South Los Angeles are fast food restaurants. That shows fast food restaurants have become a part of our life. First of all, fast food restaurants are inexpensive. Lots of high school students like to buy fast food. They can just spend five dollars and get a very big dinner. We can’t use five dollars to buy any other food except fast food. It’s good for children because they don’t need to spend lots of money on food. Second of all, fast food can save lots of time. When people go to work in the morning, they usually don’t have enough time for breakfast. At that time, people can choose fast food. It’s very fast and people can eat their breakfast while they are driving. After breakfast, people become more powerful so they can do perfect work all day. That shows fast food is good sometimes. Finally, the government shouldn’t control people’s choices of food. Some people like to eat fast food very much. Even though it’s bad for a person to have fast food seven days a week but people just like to do that. Our government shouldn’t try to control people’s habits. People in the United States have their freedom to choose what they want and need. In conclusion, fast foods become a part in our life and it has some benefits for people, so our government shouldn’t ban fast food restaurants.
